Behind The Scenes Farm Experience
Step behind the scenes at Kind Farm Animal Sanctuary and meet our rescued animals up close. Guided by one of our team, you’ll learn their unique stories, explore their habitats, and see how we care for them day to day. Includes Guided farm walk, meet and feed our animal residents, opportunity for photos and Q&A with your guide.
Tour duration: 1hr Please note: a minimum of two people is required for a tour to go ahead. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Looking for one of Wānaka's most unique animal experiences? Join our one-hour guided behind-the-scenes tour and meet the rescued animals that call Kind Farm home. Feed the animals, hear their stories, ask questions, and enjoy an authentic farm experience in beautiful Cardrona Valley. Every visit helps support their ongoing care.

“Amazing experience, maybe one of the best we had in New Zealand. The tour caps at 5 and in our case it was only the two of us on the tour, so it was very personal and we had a ton of time up close with all the animals!
All the funds go to supporting their work in protecting and rehabilitating animals, so it really goes to a great cause. This is about as good as it gets for farm tours.”

As a working animal sanctuary, tours at Kind Farm are carefully scheduled around the needs and wellbeing of our rescued residents.
Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the tour start time are eligible for a full refund.
Cancellations made within 24 hours of the tour are non-refundable.
Guests may reschedule their booking up to 24 hours before the tour, subject to availability.
If Kind Farm needs to cancel a tour due to severe weather, animal welfare requirements, or unforeseen circumstances, guests will be offered the choice of a full refund or an alternative tour date.
No refunds will be issued for no-shows or late arrivals.
We appreciate your understanding, as tour proceeds directly support the ongoing care, feeding, and veterinary needs of our rescued animals.
